After 40 years in journalism and aged 70, Peter Murtagh decided to ride his motorbike alone, from Tierra del Fuego at the very bottom of South America, to Alaska at the very top of North America. Writing along the way for the Irish Times, Peter's 45,000 km, eight month long journey forms the basis of his recently published book, From Tip to Top - the journey of a lifetime. Peter will give an illustrated talk about why he did it, what happened along the way and the people he met.
